Magenta Magnolia.

Below is Amy's magnolia. We worked on it this afternoon and it was a lot of fun! We made it even more fun by watching The Kids in the Hall and then Chappelle's Show.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BROTHER!

it's my little brother's 20th birthday!
while this makes me feel a bit old,
i love you anyway, Roy.

Sad News.

One of my very best friends lost her father this week. Her family has been a part of my family for over 20 years and I am deeply saddened for this loss. All of my love is with the DeMaio Family.

I will be out-of-town Wednesday morning through Thursday night for his services. There is a chance that I may need to leave sooner so, if you are planning to stop in for a consult or anything else, please give a call ahead of time to make sure I am still in town. Otherwise, the shop should be open as usual... just w/o me around.

Thank You.

Tattoo Magazine!

My friend and colleague, Briana Sargent, sent me the picture below. Apparently, we made the September issue of Tattoo Magazine!! If you remember back to January of this year, she and i went down to the Marked For Life all female tattoo artist convention in Florida. Our inventive and humorous way of getting the twins tattooed earned us a few flashbulbs.

When i get my little tattooed fingers on a copy, i'll be sure to post a clearer pick... until then, enjoy!

you CAN keep a good artist down...

well, w/ a horrific migraine, that is.

i apologize to anyone who may have swung by yesterday (saturday), but i was in bed the last couple of days w/ a migraine. yes, i've probably tried every remedy for said set-backs, but sometimes the headache just wins and you have to ride it out.

anyway, i will be in tomorrow (from what it looks like right now) and have been booking appointments left, right, and center since returning from Mexico! while i have a few niches here and there left in July, i am starting to book into August. if you're using "summer break" for tattoo time, you'd better get in my appointment book soon!

remember, all custom work/appointments require a deposit of $50. without a deposit, we cannot begin drawing any custom work or hold an appointment slot for you! even if you aren't planning on getting work done in the next couple of months, its a good idea to get the ball rolling soon.

hope to see you guys soon, but take a trip to the beach before its too late... you can't go swimming for a least two weeks after getting tattooed!
