Quick Update:

Hello Loyal Blog Readers!

My birthday was great, if you wanted to know.

I'll be getting my laptop looked at Friday the 2nd in the early afternoon. I'll be in the shop asap afterward. I know, I know... the laptop's been out-of-commission for a long time now, but I've had so many appointments and then Christmas that this is the first chance I've had to get it to the Genius Bar down there in SoHo.

Once my technical difficulties are taken care of I will be posting a TON of pictures.

See Ya Later!

THE "ECONOMY SUCKS WE ARE OFFICIALLY IN A RECESSION" SALE!! (on top, new entries below)

I don't know if you noticed, but the economy's sucking just a bit. In light of these recent economic events, I have decided to run a sale. This isn't just any sale... it requires a little footwork on your part. Below I've posted a list of movies that I desire. You can either bring me the regular DVD version or the Blu-Ray version. I figured that since I really need some movies (but lack the time to get out and buy them) and you all really need tattoos, we could stimulate the economy by you buying a bunch of movies for me and me showing my gratitude by knocking off a couple bucks for tattoo work. That makes everyone happy!

So, here's the deal:
If you bring the DVD version you will receive $50 off the first hour of your tattoo.
If you bring the Blu-Ray version you will receive $100 off the first hour of your tattoo.

Now, don't get too excited just yet... there are some stipulations to this sale:

1. All movies must be widescreen.
2. You must reserve what movie you are bringing when we schedule your appointment; this will avoid people bringing doubles!
3. All tattoos still have a $50 minimum, so don't try to use this discount on something small.
4. Blu-Ray discounts are only eligible for one-hour of work or more at $200/hour.
5. Only one movie can be brought in per client - sorry, you can't pay for 6 hours of tattooing with 12 Blu-Rays. I like movies, but they don't pay my rent!
6. If you think of a movie that's NOT on the list, ask me if I'll accept it before you bring it in.
7. The movie cannot be used. I would like to fight with the plastic wrap myself. k? thx.
8. If you're getting a multi-session piece, we can talk about the discount possibilities of box-sets.

Alright, so here's the list. I have a TON of movies I want, so this list will be added to as I think of more. Also, as soon as someone calls-dibs on the movie they want to bring in I will cross it off the list. The DVDs will be left at the shop and the Blu-Rays will be for personal viewing at my house... since that's where my PS3 lives. I realize that I am a dork in some of my selections so feel free to make fun of me. You may also bring me anything else w/ Johnny Depp in it that may not be on the list.

And Incase You Didn't Know:

The shop is named after my birthday. This means that tomorrow I will have survived yet another year on this rock. This also means that today is the last day of my twenties! Hard to believe, I know....haha.

While I'm going to attempt to stay out of work, I will probably end up in here at some point. If you need a consultation, email me.

Thanks!

FYI:

Hi Kids,

Just wanted to let everyone know that my laptop decided to die. Fun, huh?

I have to get over to the apple store for one of their swamis to fix her up. Unfortunately, this will slow down production for a bit. I won't be able to scan images of your line drawings and email them to you. If you're okay w/ waiting, that's cool. If not, you can always give me a call and we can set up a time for you to come in and look at them.

I'll still be getting my emails via blackberry so we won't have any problems there.

If you need me, call.

Thanks!
Joy

Last Minute Change:

I won't be at the shop today.
Get those visions of me running off to a Mexican Beach out of your heads! I'm at home feeling ill!

Assuming all goes my way, I will be back tomorrow.

I'm so sorry for any inconvenience.
