IMPORTANT:

so listen, i've been having some medical issues i've been keeping quiet for the last few months. however, it seems like it's going to start effecting my work schedule. this seems as good a time as any to discuss it publicly.

about three months ago i noticed that i was having lack of sensitivity in my hands and arms. while i do have my "clumsy days" i noticed i was knocking things around and dropping things to the floor more often than ever before. i would drop items in the grocery store, glasses in the sink, hot dinner out of the oven and all over the floor. things have been escalating and over the last few weeks, i have had pain, weakness, and numbness in both hands and arms. the pain's gotten so bad that i have had a lot of trouble sleeping and then i'm unable to get out of bed in the morning.

like anyone who works primarily with their hands, to say i was panicked would be a vast understatement. the back of my head has been filled with Plan B, Plan C, and Plan D of "What If My Arms Stop Working?" concerning my career, livelihood, and general way of life. granted, i'm playing hypochondriac... but prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

i have consulted a couple doctors (i have a consultation w/ a hand specialist next month) and it seems to be carpal tunnel and spinal issues. the spinal issues will be dealt w/ via chiropractor. the doctor i'm seeing has told me that while the vertebrate issues are pretty bad, i do not have any irreversible damage. however, the therapy to get things literally straightened out will take 8-10 months with adjustments a few times a week.

here's the part that effects you, my faithful fans (haha) and clients: i will be going for therapy a few times a week which means i will have to close the shop early. while i would gladly make my doctor's appointments in the morning, i don't want to have the doctor running late or mass transit running late make me late for any of you. i'm going to get a schedule solidified with the doctor this week and next and will post the new hours on the website.

please, don't be afraid to ask for appointments after my scheduled therapy, if you are willing to have a nighttime appointment. i am also willing (as usual) to come in on my "days off" if that works better for you. i will do everything in my power to get your drawings and tattoos done as soon as i can.

thanks for bearing w/ me and if you need to contact me, please email me.
